We’ve decided to celebrate our Tenth Anniversary Season in a big way.
Please join us for this momentous occasion when Carlos Molina returns to Hartford with Erica Cornejo to
celebrate Ballet Theatre Company’s tenth anniversary. For two performances only, May 31st at 7:30 p.m. and June
1st at 1:00 p.m., this extraordinary couple will grace the stage at the Hoffman Auditorium, Carol Autorino Center for
the Arts and Humanities at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, CT. Their appearance is made possible with the
support of the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation.
Carlos Molina was a favorite of Hartford audiences while he was a principal dancer with the Hartford Ballet under
the direction of Kirk Peterson. A native of Columbia, he began his career with Ballet de Cali in Columbia before
joining Hartford Ballet. In 1998, he went on to dance with American Ballet Theatre and joined Boston Ballet as a
principal dancer in 2004.
Erica Cornejo is a native of Argentina. When she was 14 she won a gold medal at the Second International Ballet
Competition in Argentina, and was immediately invited to join Julio Bocca’s Ballet Argentino. Cornejo joined
American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company in May 1998 and later that same year became a member of ABT’s
corps de ballet. She was promoted to soloist in 2002. Ms. Cornejo won rave reviews dancing the role of one of the
Stepsisters in James Kudelka’s Cinderella with ABT, a ballet that received its United States premiere with Boston
Ballet in 2005.
Special patron’s tickets are being offered for $50 for the Saturday evening performance. In addition to the best
seats in the house, the patron ticket will provide the holder entry to a private reception with Mr. Molina and Ms.
Cornejo in the theater’s reception room immediately following the performance.
Regular tickets for the performances are available for $30 general admission, $26 seniors, $24 children 12 and
under. Group rates are also available. The $50 patron tickets must be reserved in advance by calling 860-570-0440.
