BALLET THEATRE COMPANY HOSTS AUDITIONS FOR CONNECTICUT BALLET’S SLEEPING BEAUTY
On August 11, 2007, Ballet Theatre Company hosted auditions for the children’s roles in Connecticut Ballet’s upcoming production of the classic ballet “Sleeping Beauty for the Hartford run at the Bushnell’s Belding Theater in November of this year.
Brett Raphael, Artistic Director of Connecticut Ballet in Stamford, CT was in Hartford to select children and teens for a few roles in the production. Auditions took place at the Ballet Theatre Company studio in West Hartford. Nearly forty hopeful young dancers attended.
Mr. Raphael, will return to Ballet Theatre Company as guest Artistic Director to again stage his production of “The Nutcracker” for Ballet Theatre Company. Performances will take place at the Hoffman Auditorium, Saint Joseph College from December 15, 2007 through December 23, 2007. Auditions for “The Nutcracker”, take place on September 6, 2007 at the studio.
